Before I  knew
Life was always trying
To give hints

The Edge

He leaned over the table and his eyes got suddenly intense.
"Imagine that you are riding
On the edge of light
Where the Big Bang began;
Both the start and the end of the Universe.
There there is no time.
You are still at the moment of creation.
Radiating behind you is all the History of the Universe
But all you know is limitless possibility
And none of the dead certainty that
You have passed over."
Then he sat back, looked up
And was lost
Light years away.

"L"

Looking up from my reading, Evolution Angel, this morning as I watched the reflection of fire dance in the air and souls walk through it like spirit through spirit, I felt consumed; queitly, joyously and with a smiling certainty.  I opened a page in my son's borrowed elementary school notebook in which he practiced words following the letters of the alphabet:  Below the title; "L" and the practiced words, "like", "learned","lots" that he wrote years ago on separate lines when learning to like lots, I wrote simply the word, "enLightened".  For what is enlightened but to know the "L"ight that entered the world that is the Light of men?
