Peter's Assistant

There is a woman guard who checks ids and lets us into work each day with a pleasant smile and the words; "have a blessed day". She can say it with beautiful sincerity to all who pass, without fail, even though a few years ago her son was shot dead on the streets of DC.  Today I imagined that the Lord gave her the job of letting people in as assistant to St Peter at the pearly gates.
